Treating Addictive Disorders

Our treatment modality A.C.T (Addiction . Cross Addiction . Trauma) at its core draws on the Minnesota 12 Step Model, throughout the programme clients engage in a cemented timetable of Process Groups, One to One therapy and Non-Cognitive Therapeutic Interventions inclusive of Mindful based meditation, Art Therapy, Equine Assisted Therapy and other holistic experiences. We have perfected the process with our programme and have seen a VERY high rate of success immediately as well as long term.addictive disorders list

Part of the reason for the success is because of our staff and professionals who are at the core of our facilities and those who cure addictive disorders and offer treatments.

David Smallwood is an advocate of the belief that these non-cognitive interventions are designed to offer a gateway for our clients to connect the brains Limbic systems healthy functioning responses to the cognitive system. This has been a standard of excellence in the USA but sporadic until now in the UK.

We offer our clients throughout ‘One40′ the perfect therapeutic environment to address Relational trauma & shame-binds; however it is at ‘One40′ Harley Street that our specialists in the ‘Trauma and Re-parenting Model,’ based on the work of Pia Mellody, facilitate intensive programmes and training schedules.

Harley Street is the hub of the ‘One40′ Day Programmes and Aftercare, Family Support Groups and follow up Relapse Prevention One to One therapy.

Relapse Prevention plans are passionately integral in all the One40 programmes, we support and promote independent self-help groups for clients and family members.

As Treatment Director David Smallwood highlights:

“In all the years as a recovering addict and therapist in Primary Care, the two key issues that stand out are relapse and shame.”

Addictive disorders are not fun to deal with and often cause issues with family, friends, and other loved ones. No one needs that kind of stress. Our facilities can assess, research, treat and cure addiction through proper addiction disorder treatment methodologies that are customized to each individuals situation. You will not find a better treatment programme than you will from One40.

As Treatment Director David Smallwood so aptly says in describing his passion and motivation towards helping clients in the Treatment of Addictive Disorders, “It can be relatively easy to help someone into recovery, to keep them there has been a source of bafflement and frustration for many years.”

‘One40’ holds the key to the end of such frustration offering a model that exemplifies the progress of clinical and holistic advances in the therapeutic field of addictions.
